One of or maybe the coolest scene in the movie! I really loved this film! It was quite a surprise how good it was when I didnt expect much. Damn, I never watched the movie but i enjoyed watching her die. One of the biggest problems with almost any Stephen King novel, short story or book series is adapting it onto the big screen. TV show adaptations have been mostly hits in recent years. I didn't really enjoy or like the IT adaptations, but I like Gerald's Game. It was truly creepy at times and made my skin crawl. This just goes to show that Mike Flanagan was the best choice to adapt the sequel to The Shining. I cried so much. I wish everyone could stay young and beautiful forever... The kiddie snuffer got SNUFFED. Literally, in all 3 meanings of the word. Rose should've run away since Dan already got the high ground on the stairs. 🤦‍♂️.

Loved 've enjoyed a more epic last battle scene though. seemed to happen quickly. This was the most satisfying villain death ever. I got so many chills when the original theme played at the end. I dont like thinking about old movies from back then because it makes me sad to see my favorite actors go... I love the memories in this scene and I liked how they stuck with Kubrick's timeline instead of rebooting.

This was one of the coolest, most satisfying scenes in the movie. Naturally Henry Thomas doesn't look like Jack Nicholson but they did a really good job of making him look like it in this scene, also i feel like his persona switches from Lloyd to Jack and its the Hotels way of attempting to manipulate Danny, awesome scene. Rose cringes when she saw what Danny's past at the Overlook Hotel consisted of. Including his own father with an axe trying to kill him. Following the events of The Shining, a now grown up and struggling alcoholic Danny Torrance teams up with a young girl with the gift of The Shining to stop a group that feeds on psychic kids. To me, this seems like a perfect follow up to The Shining because it faithfully follows the events of its prequel, while also being a strong standalone story. Ewan McGregor was excellent as the titular character, and his arc gives his character a sense of earnestness and sympathy. Rebecca Ferguson as Rose Hat was perfect too, and chewed the screen every time. There is not a single scene that is not exciting when she is around. Her character is both charming and menacing while being believable. Kileigh Curran as the young psychic seeking McGregor's character's assistance is also great and despite possessing great powers is still a relatable kid. The movie features the best psychic warfare ever. The Overlook Hotel scenes are great and I geeked out seeing scenes recreated from The Shining. I guess director Mike Flanagan balanced his story with nostalgia Shining well. In the end, though the movie is almost 3 hours long, it does not feel like it. Well worth your time.

I literally freaked out in excitement when the ghosts killed Rose. One of the most satisfying scenes in movies of 2019. My favourite scene is all of the scenes. Although I've read Doctor Sleep, I've forgotten parts of it, but the things I remember, Flanagan brought them all to life in this masterful adaptation. It's a long movie, but it's never boring or too long. His screenplay and directing are basically flawless, which makes him one of the best modern horror directors. It could've been a complete disaster in anybody else's hands, but it is truly a great movie that can be certainly re-watched time and time again.
